Celebrate the Holiday Season in Aspen/Snowmass

December 27, 2019

Nothing compares to New Year’s Eve and the holidays in Aspen Snowmass.  In my opinion they do the holidays right with a full lineup of events and special activities for people of all ages!  Aspen Snowmass has a variety of both on-mountain and off-mountain festivities throughout the holiday season where families and people of any age can enjoy the holidays through January 3rd.

Check out Ullr Nights at Elk Camp/Snowmass on December 27th and 30th, then again on January 1st and 3rd.  During Ullr nights, Elk Camp (located at Snowmass) is transformed into a nighttime winter wonderland scene.  Take a gondola ride up to Elk Camp to enjoy tubing, the alpine coaster, snowbiking, snowshoe tours, live music, bonfire with s’mores, delicious food and an ice bar!  The magic of being at Snowmass Mountain with the white snowcapped mountains and festivities make it a great way to celebrate the holidays.

As Santa’s village and carolers took place leading up to Christmas at the new Collective space in Snowmass Base Village, the Menorah lighting is now taking place daily until December 30th.  Come take photos and enjoy the beautiful scene at The Collective to celebrate Hanukkah.  A new restaurant concept along with new-age arcade and games is great for all ages.

On December 30th is the anticipated AVSC’s Audi Ajax Cup that will be at the Little Nell Race Course on Aspen Mountain.  This fun race is a dual Giant Slalom that runs right down the Little Nell run and ends in Aspen’s Gondola Plaza.  Teams of six are racing until someone is named the winner and awarded Gorsuch Cup.  Each team has a pro-racer.  This is a fun way to see the pros in a relaxed yet competitive race.
