The sell-out flagship festival, which was founded in 2008 by former Climbing Magazine owner, Julie Kennedy, former owner of Climbing Magazine, and founder of outdoor brand Patagonia, Yvon Chouinard, offers audiences a taste of adventure through the lens, with a compelling program of more than 50 short films, panel discussions, community events, parties and more during the four-day event. The festival has become a highlight on the adventure film industry calendar and this year’s film program will feature several world premieres including The Coldest Crossing by Taylor Rees and Renan Ozturk, Dog Power by Kale Casey, The Fledglings by Cedar Wright, When We Were Knights by Anson Fogel, and Joy of Walking by Brendan Leonard and Forest Woodward. Guest speakers and panelists will include Lance Mackey - 4-time Iditarod champion and cancer survivor, Steve Casimiro - editor Adventure Journal, Stacey Bare - Director of Sierra Club, Emily Harrington - professional climber, Cedar Wright - professional climber, as well as filmmakers Krystle Wright, Skip Armstrong, Steph Davis, Anson Fogel, Pete McBride, and more.

Other festival highlights include an Earth Day Toast and open-air lawn concert, Dog Power with Kale Casey and the Dog Power Team as they demonstrate the fun of Dog Powered Sports around the Rec Center with their furry friends; Ice Cream Social + Community Picnic, free ice cream from Whole Foods, outdoor lawn games, climbing with FiveTen, and live music. The Sunday, April 24 film program will incorporate a celebration of the National Park Service Centennial with a very special Grand Canyon centric program featuring special guests, film, and performances including local adventure filmmaker Pete McBride and Flagstaff adventure filmmaker Q Martin.
